80% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir. The nose is complex, combining youthful orchard fruits with complex and gently oxidative notes of roasted nuts and dried flowers adding an umami savouriness that follows onto the palate. Zero dosage here, and the palate is taut and vibrant, perfectly balanced with seamless acidity, ripeness and purity of fruit, and mineral complexity. This is a Champagne that grows and grows in the glass, and could even be decanted. The finish is spicy and long, lifted by white flowers but always underpinned by chalky minerality. Drink 2021-2029.
