2023 Kaesler, 'Stonehorse' Riesling, Watervale, Clare Valley, South Australia

Tasting note

Classic Clare fresh lime aromas with lifted lychee, red apples and white floral notes. This is a fine and pure Riesling with a pithy, chalky finish typical of the region. Crisp acidity but not searing, it's a wonderful match for oysters, fresh seafood or creamy pasta dishes.

Our thoughts

The Stonehorse wines are full of character, like the teams of Clydesdale horses that used to work the heavy clay soil in the vineyards. The Stonehorse Riesling comes from 59-year-old vines in Kaesler's estate vineyard in the Clare Valley, which is renowned for producing some of the best Rieslings in the world.
