2022 Corton Bressandes, Grand Cru, Domaine Antonin Guyon, Burgundy, France

Les Bressandes is the largest sub-section of Corton. Antonin Guyon farm a 0.85-hectare parcel underneath Clos du Roi Grand Cru, ideally located on the mid-slope. The plot is farmed with horses, like in Clos du Roi and Corton-Charlemagne. The soils here have a little more clay, and the wines have a more velvet texture and approachability than those of Clos du Roy. Wonderfully pure and expressive, bursting with juicy red fruits and flowers on the nose. There is plenty of fleshy fruit on the palate, but it finishes wonderfully elegant and supple, with floral notes of peonies and a refreshing sapidity. Drink 2026-2043.
