2020 Finca Bella Vista, Achaval Ferrer, Argentina

The 2020 Finca Bella Vista is from a vineyard planted in 1910 in an excellent position on the southern bank of the Mendoza River on its newest alluvial terraces, resulting in poor, stony soils. Fruit was hand harvested and sorted, then fermented in cement tanks at temperatures up to 35ºC with regular gentle pumpovers for better extraction. The wine spent around 14 days on the skins before moving to barrel, and was bottled without filtration.

Deeply coloured and with intense perfume of blackberry and spice, this Malbec boasts a searing acidity that balances its richness and complexity.
