Achaval Ferrer were the first to produce a single vineyard Malbec from Paraje Altamira. Indeed the now-prized region was named for this very vineyard.The 2020 Finca Altamira in the Uco Valley speaks of its proximity to the mighty Andes mountain range. A cool breeze flows down from the foothills and cools the vines, lending a freshness to the wine. The volcanic soils here add a wonderful tension and minerality to the palate of this aromatic, floral Malbec that boasts an almost balsamic complexity.
