Today, the domaine is run by the sixth generation of the Corsin family, Jérémy, and comprises 13.6 hectares of Chardonnay, of which nine are in Saint-Véran.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MuiTypography-root accordion_paragraphSection__v26kt MuiTypography-body1\"\u003eDomaine Corsin’s Mâcon-Villages is unoaked and sourced from fruit grown on north-east facing slopes at an elevation of 200 – 280 metres, in the villages of Davayé and Solutré. The Saint-Véran ‘Tirage Précoce’ (which means ‘early racking’) is matured on its fine lees until bottling, creating excellent texture that complements distinct citrus aromatics and a refreshing acidity. The Saint-Véran ‘Vieilles Vignes’ is sourced from vines with an average age of 40 years old. Fermented in stainless steel, 35% of the wine is aged on its fine lees in oak barrels for eight months with occasional bâtonnage. It is defined by lemon zest and yellow peach flavours, lifted by a bright acidity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MuiTypography-root accordion_paragraphSection__v26kt MuiTypography-body1\"\u003eThe Pouilly-Fuissé ‘Vieilles Vignes’ is sourced from 55-year-old vines in both Fuissé and Solutré, at the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation. 40% of the wine is aged on its fine lees for 10 months, in oak barrels (20% new) with occasional bâtonnage. The Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru ‘Aux Chailloux’, is a prime lieu-dit that was awarded 1er status in 2020. Fermented 50% in oak and 50% in stainless steel, the resulting wine has flavours of ripe yellow fruits, sweet pastries and hints of marzipan which linger on the finish and illustrates why Pouilly-Fuissé is the most prestigious appellation of the Mâconnais.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MuiTypography-root accordion_paragraphSection__v26kt MuiTypography-body1\"\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe vineyards are situated around the village of Davayé with a north-easterly exposure. Alternating gentle and steep slopes provides the 25-year-old vines with optimal exposure and good sunlight, aiding the maturity of the grapes. However, the alternation of warmer and colder days caused a slight delay in the start of the vegetative cycle, which spanned the first two weeks of April. With excellent climatic conditions at the beginning of May, the vine grew at a steady pace. Flowering took place at the beginning of June, predicting a harvest in early September. The grape output was generous, and the harvest volume was promising. July was very unstable, and two hail episodes in mid-July caused some very localized damage. The ripening took place in very hot and sunny weather. The grapes reached maturity from the beginning of September and the harvest ended at the end of the month. Careful sorting in the vineyard and in the winery was often necessary to bring in the grapes in the best condition. The grapes are harvested by hand before being gently pressed and cold fermented in stainless-steel tanks. The wine is unoaked and matured on fine lees until it is ready for bottling.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-body1\"\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003ePale lemon in colour. On the nose, the wine has a delicate bouquet of ripe stone fruit and pear aromas with notes o f wet stone.
